PTDF Training Programme (DETP) : Driling Engineers

The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) is the Federal Government's Agency mandated to build capacities in Nigeria's oil and gas industry. The Fund has over the years been developing and implementing several programmes to meet identified human resources requirements to enhance the active participation of Nigerians in the industry.

PTDF Drilling Engineers Training Programme (DETP) 2012


In furtherance of its mandate, the Fund wishes to commence the Drilling Engineers Training Programme to boost local capacity for Drilling/ Production activities in the oil and gas industry. This initiative involves the training of Nigerian engineers at the Institute of Petroleum, IFP, and France as internationally certified Drilling Engineers for effective participation in the industry's upstream sector activities to enhance Nigerian Content.


Duration

The said programme has 4 months duration.

Eligibility

Further to the above, the Fund hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates who fall under the following two categories:

  1. Previous graduates of the PTDF Engineering Design Training Programme (EDTP).
  2. Young graduate Engineers who are staff of the Nigerian Petroleum Development Company (NPDC).
Requirements
Applicants for the training programme must meet the following requirements:

  • Possession of a first degree or M Sc. in the following engineering disciplines; Petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic and Marine engineering ONLY 
  • Applicants must possess a minimum of second class lower degree
  • Applicants must not be above 35 years of age
Candidates are to note that only those who meet the requirements would be short listed and invited for an Online Test.

  • Strong personal case studies with attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
  • Experience using DoubleClick/Dart and/or AtlasDMT adserving technologies.
  • Experience with online research tools including Nielsen, @Plan, AdRelevance, ComScore, Google Analytics, etc.
  • Highly numerate; extremely good in maths and very good use of excel.

Top 3-5 Accountabilities:
  1. Receive, store, record and issue all outward goods (fulls and empties) and scheduling, loading of all outward goods (fulls and empties) in line with issuance/despatch instructions.
  2. Reconcile physical stock to the inventory listing balance in SAP system daily, weekly and monthly
  3. Prepare and circulate all periodic (daily, weekly, monthly) inventory reports
  4. Process distribution documents in SAP and reconcile sales despatch figures and reports to physical stock while ensuring that customer credit limits are not exceeded.
  5. Maintain compliance with statutory, GNPLC and Diageo standards in warehousing, physical distribution and inventory management
Qualifications and Experience Required:
  • University Degree.

  • A minimum of 3 years working experience in a related, operations or inventory management role
