PROFILE OF ORGANIZATION
Our client is one of Nigeria’s leading manufacturers of durable household consumer products. It has the largest state of the art manufacturing capability and a robust distribution network which facilitates just-in-time delivery of its products throughout
Nigeria. The Company continuously improves its products quality and provides exceptional after sales service. As part of initiatives to strengthen its operations and consolidate its position as a market leader, the Company has identified the need to recruit dynamic  professionals into the following positions:

LOCATIONS: Lagos, Nigeria HQ
JOB DESCRIPTION
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for directing, managing and coordinating logistics, inventory & stock optimization, warehouse, transportation and customer
  • service activities. He/she will also formulate the materials management systems such as Material Requirement/Forecast Planning (MRP) and Computerized Inventory Control
  • (CIP) system in conjunction with the production planning/scheduling and control. Key responsibilities will be to:
  • Oversee the inventory management process, define departmental strategies for appropriate inventory levels, eliminate obsolete and off-spec material
  • Conducts periodic materials analysis and controls re-order levels, leadtimes, and economic order quantities, executes procurement warehousing of stocks to ensure
  • “First In-First Out” utilisation and “Just-In-Time” delivery.
  • Manage customer service activities, including order entry, customer satisfaction, interface with sales, production, regulatory, and quality ensuring that the
  • company’s customer service creates competitive advantage in marketplace including resolving critical customer complaints
REPORTING TO: Head of Logistics
QUALIFICATION
  • A good first degree or its equivalent in Business Administration, Transport /Logistics Management or related field from a reputable institution. A Master’s degree in  Business Administration (MBA) and/or other relevant professional qualifications will be an advantage.
  • A minimum of eight ( 8 ) years’ experience, including significant experience in a large manufacturing concern with international sources of supply.
  • Good knowledge of supply chain, markets and suppliers, transportation, stock control, warehousing.
  • Knowledge of business processes and control standards is desirable.
  • Demonstrated relationship management, analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications.
