JOB TITLE: LEGAL OFFICER (SENIOR EXECUTIVE)
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Draft and review of contracts and service level agreements
- Assist in the development of guidelines, policies, procedures
- Analyse and review legal agreements, legislation and documents for the Board
- Ensure (internal & external) compliance with laid down guidelines, policies and procedures
- Assist with company secretarial and administrative duties
- Provide legal assistance/ support for heads of departments.
- Interface with corporate entities and individual over compliance and regulatory issues
- Keep abreast of relevant legal and regulatory developments, laws and government policies.
- Implements an effective legislative intelligence and advisory systems which support the organisation’s strategic and operational plans;
- Manages the organisation’s relationship with external counsel and relevant government agencies
- Prepare periodic reports for senior management and head of departments’ consideration.
- Perform other sundry duties assigned by the Legal Adviser
- A graduate degree in law (minimum of second class lower)
- Member of the Nigerian Bar Association
- 3 years post call experience
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft office suite- especially Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Interested in Corporate law and company secretarial duties
- A strong work ethic characterized by high integrity and professionalism
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must demonstrate the ability to process information and make clear and definite recommendations on course of action
- Possess good business and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, prioritize assignments and deliver superior results
