JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Runs all local operations activities from contract hand over to fulfilled delivery with responsibility for:
  • Cost
  • Lead time
  • Delivery precision
  • Field WIP
  • Runs all local pooling activities UPS:
  • Currently to make use of DC tech trained on UPS product.
  • As orders / sales increase create own pool of specialized UPS Technicians.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 
  • Supports sales in quoting and marketing service products; service scope definitions, local costs, etc.
  • Keeps him/herself updated on sales progress and uses this information to plan department work
  • Participates in contract handovers making sure all the delivery fulfillment parts are well defined and manageable
  • Coordinates product deliveries with Johannesburg and Liebert / Chloride / Nove Mesto OPC
  • Orders and manages local deliveries of 3rd party labor and installation material
  • Manages local field resources. 
  • Resolves technical and quality issues with Liebert/Chloride, Johannesburg, Nove Mesto and own suppliers
  • Manages coordination, delivery fulfillment, technical and quality issues with customers
  • Assures cost effectiveness of and safety in local COS activities

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Training of Local Technical Staff and Contractors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience
  • Minimum 5, preferably 10 years experience in Telecoms field work in a in filed installation and commissioning experience.
  • Supervision of technicians.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Good understanding of core business processes.
  • Good understanding of UPS products and applications.
  • Good understanding of installation and maintenance work.
  • Understanding of operational finance.
  • Ability to build and maintain personal and professional relations.
  • Ability to effectively develop and make presentations.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • English speaking.
